Of the $621bn for transport infrastructure Mr Biden is proposing, just $17bn is earmarked for coastal ports, inland waterways, ferries and land ports of entry
As an investment in the nation’s freight system the $17bn is only a small amount, but hardly surprising given the relatively high B- grade assigned to the nation’s ports in a recent report by the American Society of Civil Engineers
