Panama seeks IMO’s help for seafarers caught in China–Australia row
Important flag state has called on International Maritime Organization’s general secretary Kitack Lim to mediate on behalf of seafarers and shipowners caught up in the trade dispute between China and Australia
Panama said crew should not be involved in a commercial dispute, nor should their disembarkation be prevented, especially if their employment contract has expired or they are on board against their will
