Crime at sea across Asia increases by almost a fifth
Crime at sea is on the increase in Asia, with 97 reported incidents of piracy and armed robbery against vessels, up 17% as compared with 2019
At least 30 incidents occurred in the eastbound lane of the Singapore Traffic Separation Scheme, two incidents in the precautionary area in the Singapore Strait, one incident in the westbound lane of the TSS and one incident just outside of the TSS
