There is no sign yet that the traditional container market slowdown ahead of the Chinese New Year will appear, as demand for containerised goods remains high and is keeping Asia-Europe rates at record levels. In contrast, lockdowns have slashed shipments of crude and refined products, keeping tanker earnings below operating costs on many key routes
