Port of Charleston on course for 22% import surge in first half
The port’s December imports came in much as predicted in the January issue of Global Port Tracker, a monthly analysis of US import throughput produced by the National Retail Federation and Hackett Associates
Looking ahead, the January GPT projects an 8.5% gain in imports between December and May versus the six months between June and November 2020, which contrasts with a 10.5% drop between the same two periods last year
