Dalian Port Co changes name as consolidation progresses
Shanghai-listed port group says the change of name to Liaoning Port Co reflects its new role in promoting port integration in northern China’s Liaoning province. The group is now controlled by China Merchants Group, after an agreement signed between the state conglomerate and the provincial authority to consolidate the local port industry
The proposal to merge Yingkou Port Liability Co has been approved by the stock market regulators. DPC had expected to complete the deal early this year
