Meanwhile, in anticipation of even larger ships and more cargo, the port of Oakland has received three new cranes, described as the tallest ever at Oakland, and ranking among the largest in the US. Seaport director Bryan Brandes said: ‘There is no better demonstration of our maritime partner’s faith in the port of Oakland, than investing in these huge ship-to-shore cranes.’
