Matson renews Hawaii fleet with new vessel from Nassco yard
The Honolulu, Hawaii-based firm has taken delivery of the 2020-built, 3,500 teu Matsonia, the second of two new Kanaloa Class combination container ro-ro ships built by Nassco and the fourth new ship in its rebuilding programme
Nassco president Dave Carver expressed pride in the work his company has done on the two vessels, saying ‘we’ve reached a historical milestone by delivering the largest combination container roll on, roll off ships ever built in the US’
