Final discharge for Vale’s converted VLOCs
Brazil’s mining giant Vale announces that the final cargo carried on its chartered fleet of converted very large ore carriers has been discharged in China
The final discharge marks an end to the use of VLOCs converted from very large crude carriers for Vale, which had decided earlier in the year to phase out or substitute 25 of these vessels built in the 1990s in favour of more efficient and modern vessels
