Yangzijiang secures $226m in new shipbuilding orders
Despite short-term uncertainty from coronavirus disruptions, shipowners with a longer-term view and confidence in intra-regional trade have place more orders at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding. These include Chinese feeder operator SITC, which exercised options on orders placed earlier in the year
An increase in the demand for smaller containerships has been seen as the shipping industry adapts to emerging trends and seeks to meet the heightened demand for intra-regional shipping and more flexible services
