BHP signs LNG bunker contract with Shell
Shell has emerged as one of the winners from a tender floated to secure LNG bunker and to charter in LNG-fuelled dry bulk carriers. The energy giant will supply LNG as a marine fuel to five newcastlemax bulk carriers that miner BHP will charter in from Eastern Pacific Shipping
The contract is expected to form up to 10% of the forecast Asian LNG bunker demand in fiscal year 2023, says BHP chief commercial officer Vandita Pant
