Head of Höegh LNG mulls use of LNG tankers for ammonia
Chief executive JS Støhle flagged up the possibility of using modified liquefied natural gas tankers to ship and store ammonia. The LNG-focused shipowner and operator has teamed up with GTT, class societies and shipyards for a joint study
Støhle is also eyeing using ammonia to produce hydrogen, which has gained traction from policy makers as a potential carbon-free fuel
