Australia LNG exports boosted by winter demand
The top LNG producing country saw fewer shipments from its projects held up in October as its exports expanded, mainly riding on resurging demand in Northeast Asia. Almost all LNG export projects saw shipments either stabilise or increase month on month in October
Australia exported 6.7m tonnes of liquefied natural gas or 98 cargoes in October, up from 6.2m tonnes or 91 cargoes for the same month a year ago, one consultancy estimates. The seasonal uptick in demand has led to a tightening in tonnage available for spot trades
