Dry bulk operator files for bankruptcy protection
Panamax operator United Bulk Carriers International has filed for bankruptcy protection in the Court of Genoa, Italy citing a falling freight market exacerbated by the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic
The company, majority owned by Gian Cristoforo Savasta, filed for bankruptcy protection on October 6. It has 120 days to present a restructuring plan to the court, documents seen by Lloyd's List show
