Oil transfer starts from stranded Venezuelan floating storage unit
Pumping of oil from the stranded Venezuelan floating storage unit Nabarima on to a sanctioned tanker was said to have begun, with the operation expected to take about a month
Questions have been raised about whether a larger tanker could be used for the operation, which would take up to five days to complete, rather than the envisaged 30-35 days. The vessel Icaro is about half the size of the capacity of the floating storage unit Nabarima, which is stranded in the Gulf of Paria between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago
