A2Z Drone Delivery starts new system to lower ship payloads

A2Z Drone Delivery has piloted a delivery system that lowers payloads from drones, enabling delivery in situations where landing would be difficult, as well as reducing time on-station. The system is still in the early stages of development

The modular add-on system or a ready-to-fly platform, RDS1 is designed for payloads up to 2kg which could be delivered to a range up to 3.5 kilometres, the company said. By lowering them from the drone, RDS1 can deliver payloads from sufficient altitude to clear ground obstacles, mitigate noise and keep recipients at a safe distance from spinning rotors
