Port of Singapore boosts electrification efforts
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Maritime Institute call for proposals on the electrification of harbourcraft. Some $7m from the Maritime GreenFuture Fund will be set aside to co-fund projects
Proposals are expected to come from consortiums comprising industry players and institutes of higher learning and research institutes, and a preference will be given to proposals with scalable business models. These should aim to develop commercially ready, fully electric harbourcraft and/or interoperable shore-charging infrastructure for electric harbourcraft and other electric vessels operating in the Port of Singapore
