Russian nuclear icebreaker to develop northern sea route
The vessel is expected to arrive in Murmansk in early October for delivery to Rosatomflot, which operates the NSR, increasing the firm’s nuclear icebreaker fleet to five ships
The action comes as other nations step up their interest in the Arctic, especially the US and UK, which seek to keep the region’s waters free of domination by any single country
