ExxonMobil says a biofuel trialled on a Stena Bulk vessel reduced CO2 emissions by 40% compared with conventional fuel oil and can be dropped into engines without modifying them
The oil major says its 0.5% sulphur biofuel reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to full hydrocarbon fuel. It calls the test an important next step toward broader use of lower-carbon fuels as regulations tighten
