Cargill invests in Maersk Tankers’ digital spin-off
Food trading giant Cargill has invested in tech start-up ZeroNorth, which makes optimisation software for ships in the tramp tanker and bulker trades, saying it will take an active role in rolling out the software as a customer and strategic partner
Cargill has invested in ZeroNorth and committed its entire operated fleet to use the software, bringing the number of ships using it worldwide to just under 1,000 — the target ZeroNorth set itself just three months ago when it spun off from Maersk Tankers
