Chinese shipper accuses carriers of profiteering

Ningbo-based office furniture supplier Loctek blamed carriers for not offering enough space and reaping profits from unreasonably high rates. It said Cosco Shipping, as a Chinese state-owned carrier, has the responsibility to make corrections and support domestic exporters

Lockek: ‘Not only is the price high, many exporting companies also need to book the slots more than 20 days in advance. And even if the slots are booked, it’s possible for the cargo to be rolled’
