Looming winter of discontent for LNG

LNG trade and shipping are not expected to receive the huge boost they need this coming winter in the northern hemisphere. Any demand surge during the peak heating season in the northern hemisphere may be at best modest and inter-basin trade will remain challenging due to spillovers from deferred summer cargoes, analysts have warned

Demand is likely to only inch up this winter in the northern hemisphere before another dismal summer next year, Wood Mackenzie forecasts
