Australia detains APL England over safety deficiencies
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority says inspection findings suggest the loss of 40 containers from APL England was a result of the vessel failing to meet the Safety of Life at Sea Convention safety standards
AMSA now expects the shipowner and its insurer to take full responsibility for coping with the impact of the incident
