Thailand grants first LNG import licence to private sector
A Gulf Energy unit developing a new power plant will be licensed to import LNG from the mid-2020s. This is the third such licence granted in Thailand and marks another step towards liberalising the country’s LNG sector
A unit of Gulf Energy has been awarded the third liquefied natural gas import licence in Thailand. This follows the two others held by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and the state-owned oil and gas company PTT
