Port of Oakland predicts 15% mid-year drop in imports
Business development manager Andrew Hwang told a video conference of a 'clouded picture' as 10% of the port's scheduled vessel arrivals have been cancelled, but that the effect on cargo volumes is unknown
Port officials said demand for exports remains strong, with fruit, nut and meat products particularly coveted by overseas trading partners, but blank sailings could put some markets out of reach for those exports
