Most ships calling at Singapore now using compliant fuel

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore figures show about 96% of vessels that came to the port used compliant fuel. Two vessels caught flouting the regulation and were slapped with a PSC detention order and not allowed to leave until they switched to compliant fuel

MPA also initiated a declaration by the group of 20 Port Authorities Roundtable calling for them to collaborate and share best practices in ensuring that port operations can remain undisrupted in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic
