Airports sought to facilitate shipping crew changes
Months into the coronavirus pandemic and into national lockdowns across the world, governments have yet to offer a solution to the prohibition of crew changes. This is threatening the safety and mental health of seafarers. The two main associations of the aviation and shipping industries are now telling countries they should pick an airport that will have special flights for crew movement and repatriation
ICS and IATA warn that air and sea logistics will grind to a halt if crews are not replaced
