Coronavirus: Chinese ports deny ban on vessels from infected countries

The government-backed China Ports’ Association has made clear no restriction has been placed on the normal operation of vessel calls. Meanwhile, the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan has made clear it will not impose a draconian-style 14-day quarantine on ships from virus-hit countries

The Chinese authorities have been quick to dispel the suggestion that they intend to enact something similar to the much-criticised draconian measure imposed by Maritime Safety Queensland to quarantine foreign ships
