Canada approves Chevron’s bid to export LNG from Kitimat project
Chevron Canada has said it intends to export up to 18m tonnes a year of liquefied natural gas from the proposed Kitimat LNG project to markets in the Pacific Rim, including China, Japan and South Korea
The Chevron-operated project comprises upstream resource assets in the Liard and Horn River basins in northeast British Columbia, the 471-km Pacific Trail Pipeline, and a natural gas liquefaction facility at Bish Cove near Kitimat
