Countries considering Mediterranean SECA plan

Under a proposed roadmap, Mediterranean countries could officially make a request to the IMO for the designation of a 0.1% sulphur emissions area in 2022. But the plan does not envisage a specific date when the SECA would come into force

Mediterranean governments will discuss a road map for a 0.1% sulphur Emission Control Area. Ships would not have to comply until at least March 2025
