Sempra Energy signs agreement with Mitsui for LNG export projects
The two firms have signed a memorandum of understanding for development of the Cameron LNG Phase 2 project in Louisiana and a future expansion of the Energía Costa Azul LNG project in Baja California, Mexico. The agreement could potentially see Mitsui purchasing up to one-third of the Louisiana project’s available capacity
The memorandum of understanding envisions the continued mutual support for the development of Cameron LNG Phase 2 as well as Mitsui’s potential equity participation in a future expansion of Energía Costa Azul LNG
