Capesizes eye gains as Vale ramps up iron ore output
Brazilian mining giant Vale is expecting to restore about 30m tonnes of iron ore production following the fatal Brumadinho dam disaster in January, which forced a suspension of activities in several facilities. Rising volumes are forecast to have a positive effect on capesize rates
Vale is also expecting to bring back a further 25m tonnes of shuttered iron ore output in 2021
