MISC does not see ‘big shift’ due to IMO 2020
Most of its petroleum tankers have already been burning compliant fuels because they operate in ECAs. Meanwhile, the Petronas tanker unit’s LNG carriers are essentially dual-fuelled and will require minimal modifications to run compliant fuels
Parent company Petronas is also gearing up for IMO 2020 by preparing facilities to supply liquefied natural gas as a marine fuel in Malaysia
