Focus shifts to release of Stena Impero after Iranian tanker freed

Hopes are growing that the UK-flag tanker seized by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps last month will soon be able to leave Bandar Abbas, although sources close to the situation stressed that plenty of things could still prevent that outcome

‘Now the US has issued an arrest warrant for the Grace 1, we don’t know if this will screw things up, but Iran continuing to hold a Brit tanker would seem a bit off-colour. We’re concentrating on crew well-being and health,’ said a person aware of the situation
