Seventeen seafarers kidnapped in Gulf of Guinea attacks on two vessels
Nine Chinese and eight Ukrainian seafarers have been abducted from a multipurpose vessel and a bulker in two separate attacks carried out within hours of each other in the same area. The International Maritime Bureau Piracy Reporting Centre has put out a warning to all ships at the Port of Douala in Cameroon
The latest attacks come just a week after a liquefied petroleum gas tanker was fired upon by a gang in the Gulf of Guinea
