Iran seizes another vessel for alleged oil smuggling
Iran is said to have seized a second tanker in the Gulf in the wake of last month’s capture of Stena Impero, according to unconfirmed reports based on claims made on a state-controlled television channel in that country
The unnamed vessel is reported to have been intercepted near Iran’s Farsi Island in the Gulf. The elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has a navy base on Farsi island which is located north of the Strait of Hormuz.
