Vaca Muerta gas field boosts Argentina’s LNG export potential

Natural gas from Vaca Muerta is transported by an existing pipeline network to the port of Bahía Blanca, where it is liquefied and readied for export at Tango FLNG. A contract for pre-front end engineering work has also been sealed for an LNG plant at the field

Argentinian LNG liquefaction plants have lower shipping costs to reach Asian markets than US Gulf Coast facilities, presenting an overall cheaper alternative to US exports
