Libyan ports remain closed, Standard Club warns

Libya has been unstable since the insurrection that toppled President Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. Recent months have seen a rebel faction controlled by eastern warlord Khalifa Haftar make extensive inroads into territory controlled by the internationally recognised government

The Libyan ports of Sirte and Derna remain closed and vessels should avoid the surrounding areas, the Standard Club has said in an alert to members
