New study claims scrubber wash water has little environmental impact on ports

Scrubbers may be effective at removing sulphur from exhaust emissions but ports around the world remain concerned about the impact of wash water from open-loop systems. CLIA Europe and Interferry have funded a study to look into the issue

An analysis carried out on behalf of the Cruising Lines International Association and Interferry by a Dutch research group has found scrubber wash water pollution is within regulatory guidelines
