Dry bulk market ‘on brink of misery’

The fundamental balance in the dry bulk market is unlikely to improve if fleet growth continues to exceed demand growth, according to shipping association BIMCO. The 2020 picture is also looking scary

Net dry bulk fleet growth is expected at 3.1% this year and another 3% next year, worsening the fundamental market balance
