Croatia terminal eyes mega boxship capability by mid-2020
The berth depth at the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal will be dredged to 16.5 m and new super post-panamax cranes will be added. This will make this Croatian destination the first container terminal in the northern Adriatic to be able to handle ultra large container vessels
Additional upgrading work is also being carried out at the moment to raise the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal’s on-dock rail terminal capacity to 360,000 teu per year to boost intermodal capability
