Heerema lines up record lift job for $1.5bn semi-submersible crane vessel
Dutch heavylift specialist Heerema Marine Contractors will take delivery of the world’s largest semi-submersible crane vessel from Sembcorp Marine in the next few weeks. The newbuild vessel, Sleipnir, will leave Singapore in late June for a record-breaking job lifting a 15,000-tonne topside structure
Sleipnir is also the world’s first heavylift semi-submersible to be powered by liquefied natural gas
