Santos deal paves way for PNG LNG expansion
The Australian oil and gas producer is set to acquire up to 14.3% of the P’nyang gas field which is slated to be developed to feed the PNG LNG expansion project. The ExxonMobil-led PNG LNG joint venture seeks to double the plant’s capacity by adding three further trains that will also draw feed gas from Total-operated Elk-Antelope fields
Santos is after a stake in the P’nyang field, which holds some 4.36 trillion cubic feet of gas resources that will feed one of three trains lined up for the ExxonMobil-operated PNG LNG project
