Petronet proposes FSRU for India's Port Blair

LNG outfit applies for a city gas licence and looks to use the proposed FSRU to meet projected demand for 77,000 million standard cubic feet per day in the isolated Andaman and Nicobar islands. The company also operates two import terminals at Dahej in Gujarat and Kochi in Kerala

Small-scale gas-fired power plant of 50 MW in capacity is also planned to be sited in Hope Town, South Andaman.
