Africa free trade deal could spur port development

The African Continental Free Trade Area pact should be up and running by the end of the year, and will act as a spur to hub ports and related logistics development, according to Norton Rose Fulbright’s head of transport for Africa

‘Shipping people are not convinced there are going to be hundreds of little coasters running up and down on the back of this free trade agreement. Most of the trade will still be carried by road and rail,’ says Malcolm Hartwell
