US ramps up sanctions on vessels trading Venezuela oil to Cuba

The US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has said it has imposed sanctions on four companies that operate in Venezuela’s oil sector and nine of their vessels

The Ofac announcements target the companies and ships as providing what it describes as a ‘lifeline to the illegitimate regime of former President Maduro’
