Demand uncertainty halts Japan’s LNG charge
Asian LNG bunker supply capacity has ramped up tremendously in the light of IMO 2020. But investments in the LNG-fuelled fleet remain slow and owner-operators of such ocean-going vessels have not signalled an intent to carry out bunkering in Asia
Excluding LNG ships or carriers, only 140 LNG-fuelled vessels are in operation and just 170 are on order, according to Lloyd’s Register
