Monjasa says Panama will struggle to supply all fuel types

Refuelling capacity, not fuel supply, will be a problem at the Panama Canal as its 31 barges are forced to supply a third fuel type, predicts Monjasa managing director Rasmus Jacobsen. He told the CMA Shipping 2019 audience to expect increased refuelling wait times there and expects similar logistical challenges in other North American ports

The 31 barges working the canal must adapt to new demand for an additional fuel type and there are simply not enough barges to fill the gap that is coming
