The US will not delay sulphur cap implementation

The US will enforce the International Maritime Organization’s sulphur cap regulations just as it has enforced the emission control area zones already in place along the US coasts, Admiral John Nadeua told the CMA Shipping 2019 audience on Tuesday, effectively ending lingering hopes of a US delay to the imposition of the internationally enforced red tape that takes hold in 2020

The US has no interest in stalling the imposition of the IMO 2020 red tape, said Admiral Nadeau who also emphasised transparency and consistency
