Natural disasters continue to generate marine insurance losses
Natural catastrophes now represent the exposure that should most concern marine insurers from the standpoint of severity, according to the 2019 edition of the annual Global Claims Review from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty
Hurricane Florence and Typhoons Mangkhut and Jebi were singled out as resulting in major marine claims last year, while Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria made it onto the list of the top 10 marine losses of the last decade
